CoolStar is a ready to use storage solution. Organ cells show improved viability after 2 to 5 days storage at +2°C to +8°C.

Instructions for Use

1. Replace culture medium in which the organ is pre-stored or incubated with chilled
   (< 8°C) CoolStar and maintain at 4-8°C. The whole organ must be covered with CoolStar.
2. At the end of cold storage, remove organs from the cold.
3. Decant the cold CoolStar and replace with warm (20-37°C) medium of choice.

Note: 
CoolStar is not designed as a cell culture medium and should not to be used above 15°C or warmed to 37°C.
CoolStar is a light sensitive solution. It should be protected from direct light during shipping and storage.

CoolStar Rinse is a ready to use rinsing solution.

Instructions for Use

1. Remove organ samples from native fluid environment and flush or perfuse organs with CoolStar Rinse (15-25°C) using standard protocols to rinse away any residual medium, proteins and sera.
2. For storage and transport of the organs CoolStar must be used.
   

Note:
CoolStar Rinse is not designed as a cell culture medium and should not be used at > 25°C.

CoolStar and CoolStar Rinse are stable for one year when stored at +2°C to +8°C.
