General
G5 Supplement is a serum free chemically defined supplement for proliferation and differentiation of neuronal stem cells into neurons and astrocytes.
Applications
Neuronal stem cells can be grown under serum free conditions with a complex mixture of growth factors and hormones. G5 Supplement can be used for proliferation of neuronal stem cells. The proliferation rate can be increased by addition of Neuronal Stem Cell Supplement. For differentiation of neuronal stem cells G5 Supplement must be combined with B27 NeuroMix.
The supplement can be used with the following base media:
Neuronal Base Medium, DMEM or DMEM/Ham’s F-12. For optimal results PAA recommends the use of Neuronal Base Medium (Cat. No. U15-023).
Composition
G5 Supplement contains insulin, human transferrin, selenite, hydrocortisone, EGF and FGF.
