As a model system of the vascular system, endothelial cells are cultivated in vitro. The segregation of growth factors and the maintaining of the selective permeable anti-thrombogen barrier, as well as the metabolism of lipids, are important factors for the interpretation of the complete system. Serum free cultivation with PAA's Endothelial Cell Medium avoids toxic side effects and high endotoxin levels. Defined composition and the absence of serum specific batch variations provides reliable results.
The endothelial cell medium is not only available as complete medium but also as a basal medium plus the individual components as supplement.
