Collagenase 2 K21-240 1 g

Collagenase 2
dialysed, sterile K02-239 20 ml

General

Collagenase cleaves peptide bonds in native, triple-helical collagen. The substrate, collagen, is the major fibrous component of animal extracellular connective tissue: skin, tendon, blood vessels, bone, etc. Collagenase may cleave simultaneously across all three chains or attack a single strand.

Application

Collagenase is suitable for the digestion of connective tissues.

Features

  • Most active collagenase
  • Collagenase 2 digests all native helical collagen fibrils
  • Important enzyme within the metabolism of tissues
  • Fixed on macroglobulin or anti-proteases during its native condition
  • Digestion of polypeptides (gelatine)

Active components: collagenase, caseinase, clostripain.
