Cat. No. Volume
Accutase L11-007 100 ml

Accutase is a ready to use solution specially developed for gentle and effective cell dissociation.

Description

Accutase is a unique mixture of proteolytic and collagenolytic enzymes from an invertebrate species. Due to its non-mammalian source, Accutase is guaranteed free of BSE, Parvovirus and other viruses common in trypsin. It is a sterile filtered, ready to use solution for detachment of cells. Accutase is supplied in Dulbecco´s PBS containing 0.5mM EDTA.

Purity

Accutase has been ultra-filtered (100,000 dalton cut off) before lyophilization and contains only purified enzymes. No stabilisers or other proteins have been added.

Shelf Life and Storage

Accutase is stable for one year when stored at <-15°C. Once thawed, Accutase is stable for 2 months when stored at +2°C to +8°C.

Instructions for use

Use Accutase in the same manner that trypsin EDTA solutions are used to detach adherent cells from surfaces. Always handle cells with standard aseptic techniques if the cells are subcultured or propagated further.

  1. Wash substrate to which cells are attached with a small volume of sterile PBS. Remove wash liquid. Repeat if necessary.
  2. Add 8-10 ml Accutase per 75 cm2 surface area to substrate container.
  3. Return the culture to +37°C incubator and allow cells to detach for 5-45 minutes.
  4. Count cells and passage as usual. No additional washes or enzyme inhibitors are required (because of autodigestion of Accutase).

For in vitro laboratory use or further manufacturing only. Not for human use.
